a lot.

Your very first bill will be a lot since AT&T will charge you for the month you signed up(prorated) AND will bill you ahead for the next month AND will charge you the activation fee. After that it depends on whatever option you signed up for.

$39.99 for 450 minues + 5000 Night and Weekend Minutes (with Rollover)
+$30 for 3G data
=$70 + taxes&fees (about $15)

Total of about $85/month.

I'm on a 2G with the $20 2G data, and the $39.99 voice plan and I pay $72.50 a month.

Also, your first bill will include the prorated cost for the previous month and the cost for the next month.

It depends on what kind of plan you choose. Go to wireless.att.com and choose a plan. Then if you still have questions, be more specific in what you're asking and we'll try to help.

Thanks alot guys helped me out. I will probably not be getting an iPhone..

That's almost exactly what my first bill was, and AT&T did nothing wrong. Go online and look at the bill details. It's all laid put for you, every detail. You have to actually

READ YOUR BILL

READ YOUR BILL

Yeah, just like the read the contract they signed, the TOS with <insert carrier name>, or the manual.

Oh, wait, most people didn't read those either. I guess that's why there are so many with issues such as these.

Not Recommended!

My wife sh-it kittens when she read the bill. The 1st bill was $528 = 2 iPhones + a cheapo for our daughter. I had to try and explain the pro-rating, but still she went high-and-right. The family plan for Sprint and the Deathst..oh I mean AT&T is the same. I was hoping for better coverage.

I have a TON (YOU HEAR THAT ATT?? A Friggin BOATLOAD of dropped calls!) WTF!!!~~~ At least 5 dropped calls a day.

If I could turn back time, I would NOT have sold my soul to the ATT devil.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

get the original and go to t-mobile and pay half as much for the same amount. Oh yea and no east coast data downage either.

So it is not worth it then, I suppose. I am hanging on to my 5 year old :)eek:) Kyocera phone that has an antenna taped on with duct tape. I still have an old, no longer offered $35 a month service plan from Verizon and I am pretty happy with it. The total bill, with all taxes etc, is $48.

It's people like you that keep the cost of our plans up! Pay up and spread the wealth, quit screwing with us like what old people is doing with our social security.

Boy that seems high. Did you check the bill online?

Do you have separate messaging plans? THose can be combines into one family unlimited plan for $30/mo.

I have unlimited txt's one iPhone 3G and one cheapo phone, and 1400 minutes, and I pay about $170 (I think - don't have the first standard bill yet). Adding another iPhone would be about $210. Even with the prorating, $500+ seems high...

I absolutely refuse. Until, that is, there is a phone that could make me coffee in the morning.
