iPhone - blue repeat arrow won't switch to white

I have an iPhone 4S and after letting my four-year-old play with it the repeat button is permanently stuck on my playlist. When I push it it doesn't turn white.

Also I can't see the scrub bar for the song. all I see at the top of the screen when I click on the album is the ability to do the star rating.

Please help
