iPhone Bluetooth disconnect when making/taking calls

I have a 6Splus which is paired with a Bestain SE01 Bluetooth sound bar. When I make or receive a phone call the bluetooth disconnects and it reconnects when the call is ended. I'd like to hear over the speaker but I have no idea why it won't 'play' the audio of the call over the sound bar. Any ideas?
