today i purchased the apple iphone bluetooth headset. the problem i have is that when its connected to the iphone and synced to my macbook pro (the usb cord that connects the iphone and bluetooth together) should it say error and not show my iphone on itunes? or should it? i don't know if i have a bad bluetooth or not.

it could just be the cable
I have mine in the exact same format and it works and syncs perfectly.
try syncing with your dock and if it does sync and work, then you know its the travel USB cable thats causing the mess
