iPhone Bluetooth - with car kits

I have heard varying stories about the iphone bluetooth support and before I consider getting one I need to know if it is compatiable with car kits.

I currently have a Parrot CK3100 but could change this if required.

if it is only compatible with Apple's own headset etc I'm not interested and will get a HTC Tytn II instead.

Everything I've read suggests that it works with car kits.

Works fine with my Parrot 3100. Connects automatically and syncs the phonebook too. Not sure if voice dialling works as I don't use it.

Mine paired up fine with Uconnect on my Dodge. I haven't used it to make any calls through it though.
