I noticed that the date showing on the Calendar icon on my iPhone 3G box is Tuesday: 9. I found this amusing since Apple is holding an event this Tuesday, September 9.

Since I couldn't find a related thread, I thought I'd ask; does 'Tuesday 9' hold any special significance for Apple? Or, do you believe this was a deliberate clue from Apple with regards to the upcoming media event? Or, do you feel this is just a quirky coincidence?

Also, the only other month in 2008 (besides September) to have its 9th day fall on a Tuesday is December... Another clue perhaps?

Your thoughts?

Well I read some where that the next software update is coming on the 9th September! so maybe…

both times on the 3G and original iPhone box say 09:42

Only other thing different visually is the original box says 02 in the top corner of the phone too where the new one doesnt.

I posted about this when the 3G was going to be released and how MobileMe had 'Tuesday 9' on the Box (still does - look at MobileMe in the Apple Store). So, it doesn't mean anything about this upcoming September 9. Sorry.

Mine shows 10:15,
I just realized what clock you were talking about, I am talking about the clock on the icon.
