Iphone bricked badly, need help!!

My iphone bricked, I have no clue how, it just happened. Now when I turn it on it shows the startup screen but doesn't do anything for 10 minutes and then turns off. Itunes doesn't recognize it and i can't restart it. I can't afford to buy a new one. I really need help!

What software is it running?
Is it JB or not?

Is there an Apple Store nearby?
Is it under warranty?
Where did you buy it?

It's an iphone 4 running 4.0.1, it is jailbroken. I haven't gotten any extra warranties yet.
