iphone bricked?

okay so a friend of mine gave me this iphone 3g cause he jumped into a pool with it. he didnt think can fix it but i did the old rice trick and i got the phone to turn on. now it just keeps rebooting after about 20 seconds or so just on apple screen i tried reading reading other posts and i tried the home and power button recovery thing and its not working maybe somone can help me out

How long did you have it in rice before you turned it on. Safe time is at least 5 days. More than likely it's fried. You should go ahead and look to replace it.
