Hi everyone,

I had a strange issue with my iPhone 16 Pro today, and I’d appreciate any insights.

Here’s what happened:

  • First, I briefly saw a flash of black-and-white static-like artifacts on the screen — it only lasted a fraction of a second (like the "snow" you’d see on old TVs). The phone continued working normally right after that.
  • Later, while the phone was in my pocket, it vibrated once, but when I took it out and tried to turn on the screen, it didn’t respond to either the power button or touch.
  • The screen remained completely black for a few seconds. After that, it suddenly came back on and worked fine again.
A few things to note:

  • The phone didn’t overheat, fall, or get wet.
  • It was just in my pants pocket, and I wasn’t using any heavy apps.
  • This has never happened to me before.
Could this be a display issue, GPU problem, or something with the internal connection?
Has anyone experienced this kind of behavior?

Thanks in advance!

Try force restart. Press & release volume up, press & release volume down, press & hold side button. All has to be pretty quick, within 1 second or so. If you don't see an Apple logo within 20 seconds holding that side button, try again a couple of times.

If that doesn't sort it, "something broke" & get it into a store.

Just restart and see if it is solved.

Thats how far we came with a stable operating system. You remember the days of Win95 where this was a everyday thing?
