On AT&T I have a 16% service discount for the monthly charge. Will this apply for the iphone? Does it go towards data or voice?

Nothing has been officially announced yet.

However, several sites have a leaked copy of an AT&T memo that has details on the new iPhone, and that memo indicates that for the new phones discounts will apply for voice and data. This would just be for the new model, not the existing iPhone.

I have seen other rumors that the service discount will apply to all models of the iPhone, but again, these are just rumors.

yeah, there's a FAN discount on the data plan. no discount on texting, however.
