Hello,

I am having problems with my iPhone (ios5.1) being subscribed to a gmail calendar.

It doesn't seem to fetch updates from my gmail calender for hours sometimes if at all.

Also is there anyway of making a gmail calendar a default calendar, so that new appointments will be made to the gmail one rather than the iPhone's default calendar (called "Work" in mine).

Regards, Daniel

Settings - Mail, contacts and calendars - scroll down to calendar section - Default Calendar

It appears on mine and I'm upto date with 5.1.1.

How have you 'subscribed' to your gmail calendar?

Good point, I'm not sure, it just appears on there as a subscribed calendar, I don't know how it knows about it.

Is there another way that I should be adding it?

Thanks, Daniel

Thanks for your help DefBref you've fixed it!

I've added the calendar via the Microsoft exchange wizard and turned off everything apart from the calendar.

I think I must have been seeing the gmail calendar via iCloud because my laptop was subscribed to the gmail calendar in iCal.

So have you turned off calendar in iCloud?

Never had my gmail calendar subscribed in icloud, was using exchange method before icloud came about.
