Hi,

In our family we have one main apple ID (mine) and then each family member has their own for FaceTime/messages etc. I just set up a new iPhone SE (2020) and updated it to iOS 14.

For basic setup I logged in as my Apple ID and that is what it shows as the "main ID" . I logged out for messages and FaceTime etc. FaceTime shows the "second" correct apple ID and also the correct information (under what emails etc one can be reached and which number/email will show up as the caller ID.

BUT in the call history it has all MY FaceTime audio and video calls plus the ones from the secondary ID. Because I use my phone for work etc, the secondary IDs call history/missed calls is completely useless.

I assume this is a bug or am I missing something? Since the main ID has correctly been logged out of messages (where none of my texts/imessages appear) the same should also apply to FaceTime (Audio and video).

Any thoughts? Is this a bug and/or are there steps I can take to fix the problem? Has anyone else come across this problem?

Thanks,
Philly

In the past 3 or 4 months we've had a slew of weird FT issues. Calls reported that we didn't place. Calls to us from phones that were sitting in unattended rooms. Calls to multiple contacts even though only one was called. Calls to and from people we don't know. Except for the last issue, all problems were when people were using family accounts. We've trained our family to expect poor coding resulting in a constant stream of updates and the attendant screw-ups associated with poor coding. Over time it simply varies from one app to another.

Thanks for the info... After logging out/in and restarting a half dozen times it seems to have "corrected" itself. I've also had again more frequent issues with iMessages not being delivered etc. I find it unacceptable that basic communication services have gotten worse.
I know numerous people that find actual cell calls on iPhones that have gotten worse. Yes, HD voice or facetime audio calls are better but come on.... I wonder if Verizon etc are playing around with more compression or non compatible coding/ "standards" .

Ah well, thanks for confirming that weird stuff is going on. This also was BEFORE anyone updated to 14... That will wait until a .2 release

thanks,
Philly
