In case I am not the only one who has missed this: I just noticed that the up volume (+) button on the side of the iphone acts as the shutter button for taking snap shots when you are in the camera app. The software button is in an awkward location for single-handed snap shots.
 
Yep, I love that you can now take shots with the volume up button. Here's a tip I learned from here that might help...

If you're taking a shot in landscape, point the buttons down (not up like a normal camera). Some people have said that when you point the buttons up, they've had pictures sent to other people or sites come out upside down. Apparently, this is because not all sites or other phones can read the data from the picture and so they show it the way their phone thinks it should be. Apparently, the correct way to take landscape shots is with the buttons down so the camera lens is at the top of the case. :D
