Hi I have a iphone 5 and I noticed of late in the dark or dim lit up area there seems to be a small tiny white light that flickers if you turn the light on the camera focuses again and that dot vanishes. It also flickers depending on how the camera focuses.

Attached image. See the dark area.

Thanks and any idea what causes this.

Anyone

Does anyone have this problem or know what is causing it?

Please enlarge the photo and see the circled area.

This is the white flickering dot and its not a dead pixel. If the angle is changed and the camera re-focuses it goes away. But in low light conditions its visible.

I could not see it until your last image. The problem is so slight that I would not worry about it.

Just try and relax and enjoy your phone!

Either dust or dead pixel ( more likely dead pixel on the sensor).

If it were me i'd get a replacement.

It's a tiny little dot.... Why are you making such a big deal out of it? It's not as if you take pictures in the dark all the time anyway, as you can barely see anything.....

You can't take pictures like that with a cell phone camera. They will all have some problems. Turn on the lights!!

I am making a big deal cause

1) its apple that is to make things perfect and they do talk a lot about how amazing the camera

2) its for GBP - 699.00 and I did not pay to get a defect if its one.

3) I spotted it while clicking a picture.

1) There will always be tiny little defects
2) fair point, but its a tiny little dot, that no one on here actually saw until you circled it
3) That would've probably just been chance :p

Well then let apple mention it that all there phones will have tiny little defects in print on the box and I will be okay with it.

I really do think you're being really pathetic about what is merely a tiny little dot, when you only even notice it when in the dark which I doubt you take pictures in any way....

I'm so confused by your first sentence. What camera are you talking about? Is the weird little light on the front of your phone? Does the flickering correlate to your camera? How? I'm just baffled by your explanation of what's going on. I might be an idiot.

Do you only notice it through a camera lens? (as eluded by your last sentence.)

I predict that you are not going to have a happy life.

If 699 is that much money to you, you likely should not have bought the phone to begin with.

Nothing is perfect, that is a fact.
