iPhone Camera Roll list of vids or pics

My wife and I were messing around trying to find some vids. There appeared a menu feature at the top with 3 tabs, Pics, Video and All. This made it very easy to find videos in the Camera Roll. Some how that menu option went away and we can figure out how to get that back. We are using a 4s with iOS 6.1.3

Any help would be appreciated

That view only appears when you go into the camera roll directly from the camera app (by tapping the little thumbnail and then camera roll in the upper left). Doesn't appear in the photo app.
