iPhone can't join Mbp network

I create a network with my mbp airport in order to have my iPhone 4 connect to it, trying to control my mbp with my iPhone.

However, my iPhone doesn't show the wifi icon on the top bar but it shows as connected to the wifi I'm sending out from my mbp.

This used to work fine before in Leopard, I'm not sure is this cause by Snow Leopard.

tried using manual ip, password wep or non password
none of it work.

Please help~~
