I heard somewhere that using the iPhone, or charging it while it is inside a case can cause the battery to get too hot, which could possibly decrease battery life, either its overall lifespan, or the battery life on a single charge.

This sounds pretty bogus... right?

I've had an Incase slider on my 2G for 2 years, no issues with heat or battery life. I don't expect my 3G S to be any different!

I'm sure if those claims were true it would be all over the forums.

Good point, I guess you would hear about it all over if it was the case

thanks!

I took the InvisibleShield off my 3G to ship after I sold it on eBay. I bought the phone July 11, and used the phone daily for the past 11 months. The phone is flawless. Granted I had to replace the shield ever 3-5 months, but the replacements are free, I just paid $3.95 for shipping. To keep the phone in the condition it is in, it is well worth every single penny. I highly recommend.
