It appears that the companies involved in Apple's iPhone 4 case program have begun shipping out cases. Mine was supposed to arrive in September, but they are sending them early. I personally ordered an incase black (opaque) snap-on case.

I think i ordered this same on as you. Yes, it has raised edges. While it is less aesthetically pleasing that other lower-raised designs, I think it prevents scratches to the screen if the phone is placed upside down on any surface.

Mrrish, that is a nice case. I haven't received any shipping info on the case that I ordered yet, so it could be awhile before I receive it.

I also did not received any notification. It just showed up in my mailbox.
 
A little protection is always good

I ordered the Griffin Reveal Etch as well. However it isn't scheduled to ship until the end of September. I was a little concerned about carrying a nude IP4. I find that a case generally adds a little grip and makes the phone less likely to slip out of a hand or a pocket. So after finding nothing at a crowd-packed Apple Store...I stopped in Best Buy and picked up a Griffin Reveal. The free case may be better or just serve as a back up. In the meantime, I feel better knowing that my IP4 has a little protection. :cool:
 
Got my clear Incase Snap Case on 8/12. I love it! As I just mentioned in a separate thread they also throw in a reversible stand like the ones Apple used to include with the iPod Touch which I love. There are raised edges on the top but I agree they serve a purpose to protect the top of the phone from scratches when placing it face down on flat surfaces. The case is thin and unobtrusive. The whole reason I went with a clear case to begin with was that I love the design of the iPhone itself.
 
I cannot wait for mine to arrive. I ordered the clear one. Mine wasn't supposed to ship until September, but I already received an email that mine has shipped!
 
My speck fitted shipped out yesterday, woot. My incase slider is awesome, I'll have to have a feel for the speck fitted before deciding, but I don't think it will replace my slider any time soon.

The ordered the Micra clear but wished I got the Incase Slider instead. I should of called Apple & canceled the order but they shipped it already. :(
 
my bumper is on its way now, after buying it launch dat in australia (~22 days ago)

so excited, even though I bought a green one already on ebay!
