iPhone Chamfer

I got my iPhone 5 replaced today, but the chamfered edge on the front is very different to any other iPhone 5/ iPod touch/ iPad mini I've ever seen.

It's very similar to the phone on the left.

Anyone else have something like this? It doesn't bother me, it's just....odd.

Wider indeed, and wonder if Apple is doing this world wide, and for what purpose ? It's actually very pleasing. Interested to see if anyone else has this on a new just purchased or replaced phone

OP, the one to the right looks normal to me. That's how my iPhone's chamfered edge looks anyways, and it is a launch Verizon iPhone 5.

The chamfer on the left looks like the chamfer on the back of the phone which is thinner than the one on the front

I bought an unlocked iPhone 5 from Apple in July to try out on T-Mobile and the edges looked just like the one on the left.

Just got myself a new white iPhone 5 here in the UK, looks exactly like the one on the left, assumed they were all like this. I guess they must have tweaked the design at some point.
