So yesterday while playing an intense game pinball on my Iphone I accidently drained my phone completely......

Now I know there are a lot of threads on charging problems, but this worked for me, so I wanted to put it on here.

I plugged my phone into a Berklin wall charger (the same one I always use) and after almost 12 hours, I still had the red line battery/lightning bolt charging displayed on my screen. I started to worry because 12 hours is a long time with no results! So I came on here and started looking at what it could be. There were a lot of suggestions on reseting the entire phone (power/home button hold), some fancy talk about the internal workings of the phone are destroyed and a possibility that the battery just might not be able to take a charge anymore.

My phone is a jailbroke 3g and old as hell in terms of electronics, so I figured it was done.

So I tried plugging it into my Mac......nothing.
So then I held the home button....nothing.
Then the power button.....nothing.
(Didn't hold them together, that was last resort)

So I stared at the phone for a long time and then thought well maybe its not getting the type of charge it needs for some reason??

I switched out the charger for the one that came with the Iphone and within a few minutes the phone turned on and went to the home screen!

So for me it was the charger, hope this helps someone else.
