So whenever I plug my iphone into my computer after a couple seconds the battery in the upper right hand corner gives me the fully charged symbol. but the battery at the locked screen is at around 25% and doesn't charge. any ideas why? this didnt seem to be a problem until i had updated my first gen iphone to 2.1

When you plug it into any power source the battery indicator at the top of the screen always shows a full battery with a bolt of lightning through it when its charging. When its fully charged this changes to a battery with a plug in it.

The only place it shows you the actual level of the battery is on the lock screen.

I understand that but the one in the upper right hand corner gives me the full battery symbol not the lighting bolt. but the lock screen shows me the battery level and it isn't full and isn't charging

Ahh. Sorry, I got my wires crossed

Well I'm not sure then to be honest, but you might want to try letting the battery go completely flat and then giving it a full charge to see if they sort themselves out again?

Other than that the only thing I could suggest would maybe be a restore, but thats a lot of hassle when it might not even fix the problem.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

And who wouldn't love a little Rick Roll now and again? How can you possibly be mad when you hear that song?
