Can anybody think of a reason why my Gen 2 iPod AC adapter (firewire) wouldn't work for charging iPhone???
(I have the appropriate adapter to convert the connection into iPhone to a firewire cable)

Thanks!!!

Well for one its not desinged for it. Second, I thought those older iPods used a different battery type. Third, it just may not be providing enough amerage. Not matter what, it may toast the iPhone battery.

I'm currently using my 2nd gen iPod firewire charger with the appropriate firewire to ipod dock connector to charge my iphone. It works just fine! I think it's been discussed on the boards here as well.
