iPhone chrome vs. iPod Touch chrome

Anyone notice the brushed like metal look of the iPod touch side? I think I'd rather have this than the chrome on the iPhone. What do you guys think?

Neither one seems to have brushed metal or chrome on the back. I just looked at the gallery of each on the Apple web site. If that's chrome, it's the dullest, least shiny chrome I've ever seen.

Once nice thing from iPhone they didn't give to iPod touch. Those chrome backs scratch sooo easily. The iPhone backs scratch too, but not like iPods, thank God. Much easier to keep the device looking new.

I think the OP is talking about the chrome border of the iPhone.

The iPod touch do not have a "border", what you see is the light on the light bezel. The back of the iPhone touch is the regular iPod chrome.

Looking at those pics I would have to say.......yeah they have the chrome backing of the iPods.

Problem is............looking at the Apple web site the touch's back looks ........well not chrome. Looking at the pictures on Engadget it is clearly chrome.

I thought the back of the ipod touch was aluminum as well. I have always thought the all chrome backing on the ipods sucked, to easily scratched and tarnished. I was right on the edge of buying one, this just pushed me back.

(wish they had an aluminum option.)

Just watched the Keynote. Even in the commercial they showed it is clearly the chrome.

How I dislike these shiny chrome backs.

When I saw that they brought back the chrome to the Nano I got quite disappointed. I just don't get it. It will smudge and scratch.

In my opinion a very bad choice. But at least something to improve next year.

Just check out engaget, the touch has a chrome back just like most ipods, but the trim on the front is clearly brushed.

wow, wasn't even talking about the back. I was talking about the rim, trim, or whatever you want to call it. oh well.
