I have been using the iPhone since the iPhone 4s and have never used a cleaner app for my iPhones. I have found that the OS does a very good job of keeping control and use of RAM and apps etc. I don't have any problems with spam email and I have always manually kept my pictures updated.

In my opinion, one needs to be very careful when using any "cleaner" apps, whether it is on the phone or Mac, as these apps can cause problems for the user on multiple levels like deleting files that shouldn't be deleted not to mention the privacy aspect.

This is what I do:

Go through all my screens deleting apps I no longer need
Go through the App Library, doing the same
Go into Settings > General > iPhone Storage
Any app I see taking up too much space gets deleted and then reinstalled from the App store
Trim any Synced Media as that tends to be the largest use of space.

Another space saver - go into Messages and delete old texts, especially ones with a lot of pics/attachments. I had a few texts in there that had been running for several years, and were pretty huge in size from all the attachments.

Does anyone have any feedback or recommendations on iPhone cleaner apps?
I can answer this with for cleaner apps in general for all operating systems. The only thing being “cleaned” is your wallet. Computers don’t get dirt inside the operating system that needs to be cleaned. These companies depend on people wanting something tidy, neat or clean to sell a product. I mean, who wants a dirty computer so of course you need a cleaner app.

The reality is these apps may delete some unused files that you could’ve done manually, but they also might delete some file that’s going to cause you problems down the road.

Edited to delete irrelevant Mac related information

No apps but what I’ve started doing now is offloading the app data before deleting it. I noticed some apps like, Twitch, I’ll delete the app then reinstall later on and somehow my login info was still saved. That didn’t seem right, almost like it left cached data on the internal storage.

I wouldn't trust any of them. I've been using iPhones since the 3G, have never used any kind of "cleaner" app. They're useless at best, dangerous at worst.
That's fair. iPhones manage storage well on their own, and cleaner apps often do more harm than good.
