I tried this a few weeks back (with the Apple care phone support even saying 'yes, they'll swap it'). But the genius in store wouldn't do it because they can only swap out for that product (apparently the white and black class as different products).

Worth a shot though. let us know how it goes.

I used to work for Rogers and never, EVER were we allowed to swap for different colours if an iPhone came back. They are two different products.
