iPhone Colour

Hi, I just got a new iphone 5 today and noticed the colour of the phone when on a black background has different shades of black.

Just checking if this is normal or should I take it back?

It's probably just artifacts on the picture. Put that same picture on your computer and look at it. It will most likely have the artifacts on there also.
