Most of the ad viewers will have no idea what "iPhone 3G" means. If they're iPod users, they might vaguely think it's a third generation iPhone.

I liked the Instinct commercials better. They at least showed off some features.
 
Are we talking about the "Hallway" ad that was posted on apple.com on the day of the keynote?

yeah same one. But people have speculated on why it hasn't been airing on TV. That's the only reason I made this a new thread.
