iPhone compatibility with 4 channel stereos

I use my iphone in my car, using bluetooth. The car has four speakers/channels, but the iphone only seems to handle two speakers/channels. Does anyone know of a way to get the iphone to transmit four channels for the stereo? (Since most cars have more than two speakers, I suspect this has been addressed before) Thanks in advance.
