Hi,

I have purchased some HD content from Itunes. I have my PC connected to my 1080p HDTV but the playback is choppy from my PC. My PC plays other HD files from other sources ok but none from Itunes.

I have recently purchased the iphone component cable and was wondering if I could transfer the HD movies to the iphone, to then play on my TV.

Is this possible, or is there a more simple way to do it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You need this + an HDMI cable

Thanks for the info.

2 questions, firstly how do you transfer the HD version of the files to the Iphone? When I downloaded I got both standard and HD version.

Will the component cable do the same job?

iTunes automatically transfers the HD version, unless you select to only transfer the standard version.

I have the component cable as well and that will only output 480p, you need the new adapter with an HDMI cable to be able to output at least 720p from your iPhone 4, though an iPad 2 can output up to 1080p.

Thanks again for the info saving107.

Incidentally, slightly off topic, can you share your itunes library wirelessly with xbox 360 or PS3 and stream the HD version that way?
