Alright so my iPhone has worked perfectly up until the past 3 weeks. About a week before the 2.0 update came out i got back from a trip and my iPhone would connect and then disconnect. After two weeks of this i went to the support page and tried:
1. forgetting the network
2. Resetting the network settings
3. and resetting the phone and setting it up as a new one through iTunes.
After this i called apple and they told me to take it into the genius. After him looking at it for a couple minutes he said it was acting up and that apple would give me a replacement.
So i walked out with a new phone and when i got home it did the same exact thing.
I also have tried using it on public wifi and it does the same exact thing. I called apple and they set me up with another genius in a few days but i don't know if the problem will be fixed.
I have a airport extreme base station that uses what i believe is a wep2 key that is longer than 10 digits. This problem occurred with either the 1.1.4 or 2.0 version.
