iPhone Crash Reporter

Browsing through the Apple drivers, it looks like they set up a site to accept crash reports:

https://iphonesubmissions.apple.com/convert.jsp

There's nothing there. It just accepts data apparently. But it's interesting.

Itunes sends crash reports there

Little Snitch told me that MDCrashReportTool wanted to connect to port 443 of iphonesubmissions.apple.com. Looks like it is trying to send crash reports from the phone when you sync it.

There's a log on the Mac I use to sync - from the Console, you can see these crash reports under ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<your iphone name>

Interesting...is Apple becoming more like Microsoft, doing secret data mining?
