you already can with the latest update for iphone. go to the apple website and watch the video about it or click on the steve jobs keynote video

I mean like with background pictures and alternate icons, like the screenshots I'm seeing on other threads from jailbroken phones...

I know it says newbie, but I'm not that clueless haha, I know all about 1.1.3 but thank you
