For the last 2-3 months, the data being used by my iPhone is excessive and I can't understand why. Here's what my bill says:

May 14 - 40MB
May 18 - 20MB
May 20 - 11MB
May 23 - 10MB
May 24 - 90MB
May 28 - 50MB
May 30 - 113MB
June 3 - 30MB
June 4 - 35MB
June 6 - 42MB
June 9 - 30MB
June 11 - 22MB
June 12 - 17MB

Here's my usual usage:

-I NEVER stream any video.
-I receive emails on it, but rarely reply (maybe reply to 1 email per 2 days).
-I use the Twitter app for about 30 minutes a day just reading
-Sometimes use Maps. Maybe 5 minutes a day.
-Text messages. Rarely MMS.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have a 500MB plan and it should be enough. All this data has me very confused.

You say "for the last 2-3 months". Does that imply that prior to this you've had much less data usage? (or have you just noticed this over the last 2-3 months).

What app(s) did you install around mid-May? Log in to iTunes and view your Account Information|Purchase History. It's possible an app is running in the background and utilizing your network connection.

RTP.

Are your emails being pushed onto your phone? That can use some data since the phone is in contact with the email server.

That's very low usage IMO.
Not excessive.
Some people use 8-12GB per month. That's what I call excessive.
The Iphone uses up data easy even when you dont think it does.
It might be a program you have running or something else you're doing with your phone.
Using the twitter app and maps will use up data. Also if you stream any music will or browse using safari.
