So I'm looking for a 2g iphone, planning to look for an unlocked one because I'm already on at&t family plan. how much is it to add EDGE data plan?

wait seriously? why so expensive for crappy EDGE. can anyone else confirm this? i'm on an existing att family plan.
Here is a little help: it's the original iPhone that uses EDGE (2.5G). No iPhone was made that uses 2G.
well now instead of paying $5 for texts you will be paying $20 with text included (think of it as $15 for data and $5 for texts) so you won't have to pay an extra $5
People constantly complain about how expensive the iPhone is per month but people tend to forget that the Blackberry data plan is no cheaper than the iPhone (and with the iPhone you get way more bang for the buck than the Blackberry). After all, the Blackberry isn't even 3G with AT&T.

since you say you are getting it unlocked, you can go with the media net plan which is 15 dollars and save 5 dollars...
