iPhone data usage discrepancy

I just purchased iphone for 2 days, did very light surfing and email checking. The next day I happened to install AT&T app on my iphone and checked usage. It's already 45MB/200MB

WTF is this? My iphone data usage says I only used 4MB out and 7MB in.
Does this happen to anyone else?

No. Perhaps you should call AT&T and ask them.

i got $15 credit - apparently there is an error with data usage across their network.


i emailed macrumors with that tip but it hasnt made the news yet!

Call them and see what's going on. Normally with new iPhone contracts, you get unlimited data for the first two months upon getting your new contract. (They won't charge you if you go over your data limit, but they will suggest you upgrade your plan because you will get charged for future over data usage.)
