Iphone day of question

I had a few questions about getting the iphone day of. I have work from 7-1 July 11th. Do you think the iphone 3G is going to sell out? If I stop buy a local AT&T store after 1pm do you think I will still be able to get one? And where is everyone going from the suburbs of chicago!!

my current o2 contract doesnt run out until 25th August but as i can upgrade 1 month in advance, do u reckon they will be sold out on the 25th July?
