Somehow a screen shot of all the icons on my iPhone desktop suddenly appeared in my camera roll directory. Seems strange that it happened and I did not do it intentionally. Does anyone know how that might have happened or what I might have done to cause that?

You unintentionally pressed the key combination that takes a screenshot.

You accidentally took a screenshot of your homescreen. You can do this by holding down your home and sleep/wake button at the same time.
