hi guys ive been using my iphone 4s for a while (3 months or so) and its been working great. i bought it off off craigslist for a cheaper version so i could get on tmoible. anyway about an hour ago it died completely at 7% and whenever i try to charge it one of two things happen: i get the restart sequence you know with the apple logo lighting up but then a power screen shows it shows my battery at 1% then dies. the other scenario is the same except for instead of 1 it shows 7%. and then it loops between those two.

im starting to think maybe it could be a faulty battery? because the phone charges when i plug it in (the image with the big battery and the lightning bolt and plug underneath it) and then when the power sequence starts (when the screen goes from being black to the apple logo lighting up) and i actually get to the home screen and the lock screen shows up there is no battery charging indicator in the top right. it's just simply red instead of black and white with the charging icon

what can i do?

do you have a link to a walkthrough on how to do it?

but doesnt my computer have to recognize my phone to do that? because when my phone is connected to my computer right now nothing on itunes is popping up to it seems like my phone isnt able to connect to my computer/itunes isnt detecting it

If you go to DFU mode, it will recognize it.
