iPhone doesn't auto lock when playing music?

I noticed it this morning on the ride into work. The screen will go dim but will never actually lock. I paused my music and 1 minute later (as per Settings) the phone then locked.

EDIT:
Strange, it must have been bumps in the road or minor vibrations that kept it from locking. As if the gyroscope or whatever was tricking the phone into thinking I was using it. Because now with the phone perfectly still it's successfully locking...

You have to wait one minute or lock in manually. 1 minute is the least amount of time it will auto lock. If you want it shorter press the lock button. I'm not sure what the question is......
