Hey guys, got a pretty old jailbroken iPhone 3G here. It's my sister's actually. She gave it to me 3 days ago and asked me if i'll be able to get her photos out of it because she had some really important one there. It has broke 2 years ago. One day she has been playing some game and the iPhone had just died. I got it then and just told her that it isn't going to work because i thought so.
However, yesterday i got a charger and started charging it. It showed the battery icon with the flash below it and i thought it was charging. About 4 hours later i checked on it and it was showing the same thing. Right after i unplug the charger the screen freezes and the backlight turns off but you can see the icon. I connected the iPhone to iTunes and got it into DFU mode and tried to restore it but when it got to apple logo the screen turned off and iTunes showed error. I thought it was the battery and went to buy a new one. It turned out to be a 3Gs one but i put it in. This is where a really strange thing happened. I plugged the charger in and the display went black and stayed like this. I held the power button and the screen started turning on and off pretty fast. When i connected it to the charger again the same thing happened but slower. Then i got a 1600mah battery for 3g (apn 616-0347) and the same thing happened. Eventually i got the iPhone into DFU mode so iTunes can recognise it but i couldn't restore again because of an unknown error. Now i just want to het it to work again even without the previous contetnt.
Please help!!!!:(:(:(
