So I recently dropped my iPhone 5 in some water. It's been in a dry bowl of rice for 24 hours and everything works, fine, except my screen has these stains/blemishes:

Anyone know what to do?

If everything works, you'll need a new screen.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if things stopped working down the line as things corrode. I'd be tempted to just pay the OOW replacement fee from Apple.

It will probably stay like that. Time to get a new screen and just be happy everything works

Ive never seen it look like that it almostlooks like wet paper...

like others said-there is probably still a bit of moisture under there but it is odd-probably need a screen replacement...i would turn it off til then

try warming it up with a blow dryer for a few minutes

I wouldn't try that if I were you. It could melt the home button and worse, ruin the LCD.

You should probably start by leaving it in the rice for a couple more days and seeing what happens. If it doesn't get better you'll probably have to replace the screen. You might try fixing it yourself... it's not very difficult, especially on the iPhone 5.

Try to find a vacuum suction. I once had a coffee spill on the laptop and it asn't starting. The technician suggested to keep it in the vacuum suction in the lab and it worked!!
