iPhone e-mail: I don't see a "Sent" folder

When I go to my g-mail on my iPhone in the mail app, there is only an inbox folder. I checked out my friend's and he had inbox, sent, drafts, etc. How come I don't have these? How can I get them?

the different folders should appear as you have a need for them. Have you sent mail from your phone, then you should have an sent folder. Have you deleted a message, then there should be a trash folder. And so on..

Ah! I guess you need to have 2 or more e-mails to do this. I had sent one and there was no sent folder, now I sent another and it showed up! Thanks for your help!

Hi. I'm having the same problem, though I've sent several emails and still no sent folder. I used to have one, but it's no longer there. Any suggestions?
