Hi all

I cycle to work & it takes about an hour, to relieve the boredom I listen to my iphone. I have modified the ear peace & cut off the left ear attachment at the splitter box.

It works OK for about an hour & then starts stopping of it's own free will. I can start it again by pressing the dongle (technical term!!!) on the right ear piece cable.

I wear the iphone on my arm on an ipod neoprene holder, under a waterproof cycling top?

Any ideas would be appreciated & don't bother mentioning road safety as I used to investigate fatal road traffic collisions & I know!!:D

Ok, the Dongle is the Mic. Likely what is happening is that the wire you cut is shorting either causing a pause indicator or to make the iPhone believe that the headphones have been removed.

I was thinking that, but it seems strange that it works for nearly an hour?

I was wondering if it was overheating (it doesn't feel hot) or that because if the sweat it was acting like a sauna effect??
