I am not currently an iPhone customer, however I noticed the deal that contracts up in 2010 are eligible for an early upgrade to the iPhone 4. Since I don't currently have an iPhone, I don't think I qualify for this, despite the fact that my contract is up in November. However, I have an old iPhone 2g lying around collecting dust. If I were to throw my SIM in it, activate over iTunes and sign up for the $20 data plan, etc. would this suddenly make me eligible for the early iPhone 4 upgrade? Thanks.
