iphone email exchange notification

I have my gmail setup using exchange, anyway I always get two notifications. how can I disable this?
also anyway I can do slide to unlock rather to read?

that may be the exchange, not the phone. when you log into the email on a computer does it repeat emails or is it just the notification.

it's just the notification, even on my phone it's just a single mail but I always receive two notifications.
