I upgraded the software on my wife's iPhone (original model) to the 2.0. Now when she goes into here email (we use earthlink) she is unable to simply press the trash can to delete a message. When we press the can, it flashes but nothing happens. If we are in the inbox and hit edit we can delete the messages there by presseing the red dots, but I don't know why we have lost the funtionality to delete individual messages while viewing them. (p.s. My iphone 3g works fine with this).

Does anyone have a fix to this issue?

Thanks,

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5A347 Safari/525.20)

I had a similar issue with my original iPhone and an occasional reset seemed to fix it. I held down the power button and the home button until the apple logo popped up. That may work for you. I was using a .Mac account not earthlink though.
