Hi there.

I have an iPhone and I do not know the history of it.

I have tried restoring and I always get errors 1603, 1604 and 1611. The phone will not switch on, even after changing the battery to a brand new one. The iPhone was opened, so there's no point going to an Apple Genius.

The screen I have is a plain "Connect to iTunes" screen, which only shows when connected to a power source. If it's not connected to a power source it switches off. The usual "iTunes" writing under the iTunes logo is not showing. I have no slider, and the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons does not respond, such as all other buttons.

I have already tried:

1. Changing battery
2. All of Apple's tips published in Apple.com
3. Tried Jailbraking (got the log screen but then it switches off and does not finish the process)

Well. The only thing I have not tried is PWNAGE Tool. Reason being is that I tried to do it and it keeps telling me to select Firmware 2.0.1. Even after selecting the right firmware, PWNAGE Tool will still say that it it the i've selected the wrong firmware bundle, so I don't know what else to do.

So please, any suggestions, whether it's different hacks or hardware, please tell me what you guys think I should do to fix it..!

Thanks for the help people!

Ok, bump aside, I was plagued by error 1013 for a few hours, this solution worked for me, it might for you. Download pwnage tool and a copy of the 2.2.1 firmware for your phone. Make a custom build (but exclude custom icons, installer and cydia if you'd like) Use the convenient DFU tool built into pwnage tool to put your phone into DFU. option click into restore and select your custom build. Should work just fine.

I looked into those particular errors and they are most commonly associated with a "bricked" phone. Ive seen some so called solutions to bricked phones, but ill leave that to you if my solution doesnt work.

Best of luck

I have pwnage tool on my Mac, but I have no idea how to create a custom build on it..

I tried looking for options and found none. My initial screen is a chooser for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPhone 3G. I click on iPhone and it asks for the firmware bundle. When I select 2.2.1.ipsw, it will tell me that it is the wrong firmware bundle. It does this with all firmwares I try to use...

I tryed for ONE MONTH to restore it i got the same error 1611...tryed to restore it on diferent computer ,mac ,DFU mode ,recovery mode, hard reset, all versions of iTunes ,all usb ports ,other data cable , did someone had this error and fixed it ???? pls i`ll apreciate it so much !
