Carrier iPhone Exchange on VZW - Will I lose promotion?

Bought the iPhone 7 (see below) on the $10/mo (actually $15) promo. Want to move to 7+ whilst keeping the promo, and am within the 14 day return....

Chat Reps have told me this is easy to do.
Reddit told me it is impossible to do.
Store (on the phone) told me it's possible.... sort of.

Has anyone actually done it? Does anyone know if it's possible?

I'd follow Verizons detailed directions on what you need to do in order to make these changes.
Then at least you have some documentation and contact info if something doesn't go through correct with your account and options.

Always a good idea, thanks. Still not 100% sure I want to do it, but with the double-speaking cell-phone employees, I find it's better to come armed with all the information you can get.
