I just got my iphone 3g exchanged but they replaced it with what seemed like a refurbished one (it was from a plain white box, not the regular box that it comes in with all the accessories). Do you think this is as good as a new one or is there a better chance of this one having problems as well?

Luck of the draw, might be better might be worse. Depends on the condition of the tech that repaired/refurbished it.

Thats not a refurbished one. Its called a service model. Meaning they are new and set aside for replacements.

Replacements right now are most likely new models and not refurbished. The reason why the phones come in white boxes is because Apple only needs to provide a replacement phone and doesn't want to spend more money giving out more accessories. At least, this is what a Genius told me. Cheers.
