I am not sure I am communicating this very well on my title but this thing has been bugging me for some time and I dont seem to be able to find information about this online for some reason.

So the thing is, after charging my iPhone, no matter what percentage it is, say 85%, then after unplugging it the phone will stay at that first percentage, 85% in this example, for a considerable amount of time until it drops to 84%. After that, the phone will drop significantly faster, ie normally.

As I said this happens no matter when I decide to unplug my phone from the charger. It could be 85% as the above example, it could be 97% or 73% whatever. The first percentage will always take a ridiculous amount of usage before it drops and then battery drops significantly faster.

Can someone tell me why this happens? It is not that I have an issue with my phone, it is just a question I want answered because... reasons. lol

Thanks!

I've only heard of that happening when the device is fully charged to 100%. Have you taken it to Apple to get checked? They don't charge anything to diagnose issues..
